Everybody at my house knows what the yellow Bil-Jac bag means and awaits the distribution eagerly. Although I often feed frozen Bil-Jac especially as a training treat, I usually feed a dry food or in the case of nursing mothers they are on Purina Puppy Chow as part of thier all-you-can-eat buffet. For about the first 5 weeks the puppies are here the mammas really run through a lot of nutrients: frozen Bil-Jac, purina dry ration, calcium supplements, wet food to mix with the calcium and for fun and extra calories they get hot dogs. Left to right above is George, Miss Paula, Butter, and Ginger. Once the puppies are started on puppy chow we can lighten up on the mamma's coloric intake and the puppies always move along nicely on puppy chow with a little milk powder sprinkled on top.
